Krisantini began playing piano since the age of three, inspired by her parents and her uncle who is a performing pianist.
She started her formal musical education at the age of seven. By ten she started to improvise her musical pieces, and had received two awards for her musical compositions for chamber music. During her study in UK, Krisantini studied piano with Anthony Williams at the School of Music, University of Reading.
She continued composing, arranging and playing the wide range of musical genres from classical to ethnic jazz band while studying at the University of Queensland, Australia between 2001-2004.
Her piano compositions are influenced by ethnic Indonesian music styles as well as European classical music. Krisantini lives in Brisbane, Australia, since 2007.
